Oh, fandom:
It's copyrighted, not copywrited, unless you mean copywritten, which generally you don't. (While we're here: if someone is firing it, it is a cannon. If you are wishing someone would fire the writers, you are talking about canon.)
Also, if you are typing the words "I don't know if this post is allowed in this community, so mods please delete if it's against the rules," you are doing it wrong. If you can't figure it out from the comm rules, ask. Jeez.
Possibly related to my mood today is the fact that the Vegas AU story is at 9000 words, and while it's entertaining me to no end, I'm getting a little concerned about the fact that the end is only faintly in sight somewhere far over the horizon. Is there something in the water in this fandom? I write at this length like, never.

I swear, I dreamed about Torchwood last night, vividly and with an entire weird and angsty plot, and I have never seen a single episode of the show. My friends list looks something like this this morning: Torchwood Torchwood This bumper sticker, which I agree with artaxastra that John Sheppard totally needs and probably wouldn't find funny. Torchwood Torchwood News about other people's cats, icons for fandoms I'm not in, Sheppard/McKay mpreg, and other things that seem to come standard with my Internets. Torchwood Torchwood Torchwood I keep expecting to go outside and find that someone has chalked "OMG WTF TORCHWOOD" on the sidewalk. Tags: fandom

Things I mean to write, when I have time and brain: ST:Reboot: "We're all going to die!" clichefic. Kirk/Spock/Uhura, I think, fairly short and light. Plus I could write some Sarek/Amanda again; it's been a while since I did that. SGA: "phobias!" clichefic for cliche bingo. This one's being trouble. The Lorne story, which may be this story or may not be. The Zelenka/Lorne story, which may be the same story as either of the two stories above and may not be. The Athosian history story, which may work for "backstory!" for my cliche bingo card. The Vegas AU post-ep story, in which there are more rare pairings than you can shake a stick at, and which still needs a working plot. More playing around with a couple of other people about a possible virtual season 6 project. The Richard Woolsey story, or five times having rules in Atlantis wasn't actually a bad thing. PotC: I have no idea; my pirates seem to be on hiatus. Maybe I can do PotC/something for my cliche bingo crossover story, though? PotC/Merlin? PotC/Temeraire? I've done PotC/Harry Potter already. Or I could do the Lord John/Robin from The Masqueraders story that three people will read. Tags: writing

Penknife, you say, I am intrigued by your new show, but I don't actually want to watch 100 episodes of SGA, especially since some of them are pretty bad. What should I watch? If you haven't watched the premiere, watch the premiere, Rising part 1 and 2. It introduces all the main characters for season 1, and will get you up to speed about "what's a stargate?" and "what's a Wraith?" and "who were these Ancient guys anyway?" and "Atlantis, what?" After that, you have some choices: ( Atlantis, abridged for yer interests )Anything else you'd like recommendations for? I can talk about this at great length right now. (Stopping me may be harder.) ... and that's a wrap. Season Five, in which the writers are bored, except when they get to hurt people. (I don't know if anyone actually knows any spoilers for the hypothetical movie at this point, but don't tell me about them if you do, okay?) ( season 5 episode reactions, with spoilers )This has been great fun, if mildly brain-breaking in terms of speed (watching 5 seasons of a TV show in 3 months has made me a little dizzy.) I think I had more fun in some ways doing it this way, though, so that I was already spoiled from the beginning for various plot developments that broke people's brains during the show's run. There are lots of things I want to write. I can't write them all at once, which is what I keep telling my brain. One of these days it will start listening to me. Does anyone who is not already either in this fandom or in recovery from this fandom want a less spoilery guide to which episodes you might want to watch if you didn't want to mainline the whole show? I will even tell you who all these people are, with pretty pictures and sarcasm. Tags: sga, sga: episode reactions
